Information

I've been working as a photographer for over 30 years, my beginnings where in Hamburg, Germany working as an assistant, at that time I was still 15 years old. I worked in a company called Photo Professional Service. In it's studios I learned all there was to know at the time about lighting techniques plus darkroom techniques . PPS mainly clients where in the fashion business after 5 years learning all there was to know I moved on attracted by journalism.

I guess I was lucky, in the late 70's the Deustche Presse Agentur took me in and there members in the Hamburg agency taught me the craft of the trade. After that the list goes on through mainly press agencies and magazines, working sometimes as staff and others as a freelance.

I always liked features and that's what I specialized in magazines such as Stern, GEO. Living in different countries and continents, the 90's caught me in South America I was based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I there worked for editorials and agencies local and abroad as a correspondent.

The new century brought me back to europe and for the last 3 years I've been based in the Balearic islands, Spain. Working full time as an editor for a local newspaper. In my free time I discovered my love for landscapes and that's what I've been doing ever since. My images now a days are sold privately the same as for magazines and books.
